Even though the forecast calls for days of rain, the sun came out a little bit and we took some early morning shots of Vonica…
Here’s the fit and drape of the sweater shown in a showroom way – non-moving – with the sample not being pushed or pulled.
The sweater has about a two-inch overlap in the front – perfect for a shawl pin (or even a button at the waist level, using one of the built-in eyelets for a buttonhole). Or, as I like it, Vonica can be worn open, with its lacy band just pretty enought to add a self-finished decorative touch.
I’ve just cast on for moi using a sportweight yarn to see if one can push the envelope a little in the fiber department. Maybe, if the muse strikes, I’ll pull out a hook and make a custom button…
So pretty! Wish my knitting hands were working better!
I think it’s quite lovely and delicate.
GORGEOUS! Yet *another* one of your sweaters I need to make. I swear, soon I’ll have the “Chic Knits” sweater drawer.
