Monday Morning Mirth October 19, 2009

  Monday Morning Mirth

Alrighty now, while I was toolin’ around in a Catskill valley this weekend, all hella was breaking loose up in the sky: the Boy in (?) the Balloon?

In the venerable history of the Cultural Froids that we at Chez Chic hold dear to our hearts, this one might just be the Super-WTF?! of all time!

Here’s a fam that’s already Reality TV veterans (Wife Swap — eeeeewwwww!) and now posturing for even more face time (eeeeewwwww!)

Take that Kate Plus Eight! Carry on? Octo-Mom!

I’ve got nothing to wear October 13, 2009

Sil writes: “Dude, seriously! Knitting a sweater for Rhinebeck which is really soon! Good luck, see you there. I’m wearing an old sweater tho :) “

Well, coming from one of my favorite Rhinebeck veterans, this is like The Oracle and dudes, I am paying attention.

Friday, I ran to my local yarn shop and got something to make something a little more in line with the program because: I have nothing to wear!!

Yes, the eternal mantra of fashionistas everywhere is Ringing in my Ears this morning as I read the weather forecast for Rhinebeck:

Friday Saturday
Chance Rain
47° F

34° F

Chance Rain

50° F
32° F

Chance Rain

50% chance of precipitation
Chance Rain

30% chance of precipitation

These *friendly* conditions call for ACTION!

Chill & Pill and needle and yarn and something easy and warm to snuggle down in because rain & 40-ish degrees makes my ears shiver.

I can do that ;p
