Rescue Me: I put my Twist knit on hold for awhile — Jo-Ann was having a super sale (20% off yarn, 5.00 shipping and I had a code for another 10% off – SQEE!) and I sent away for a batch of Taupe Cotton Ease. Hopefully, it will be close enough in color to what I’m using now so I guit sweating about whether or not I have enough to knit a hood! My plan is still to knit all the Body ribbing with the new color and the buttonbands. Since the buttonband goes around the entire front and hood it is a yarn gobbler!
Having the slightly different dye lot below the body section is a cool optical illusion as well. I hung up the new section under one of the Sleeves I knit and the upper slightly shadows the lower (new) so it looks very very similar.
In the meantime, I needed something to make!!
So I’ve started a Mondo Cable Cardi with the cap-sleeved option. I’m using Blackberry Ridge Mohair Mist in Natural Black (looks taupey-heathery-dark-brown) and am zooming right along. I have ten more rows to go before I split for the body. ZIP!
