While I’m wading through the pile of almost FOs, I’m tempting myself with some inspiring goodies. In the mail comes:
– the new Spring 2005 Rowan
– a bag of All Seasons Cotton in…

We need some serious Warmth in these here parts and even though the sky is blue today, my brain is still a little frozen. Lookin’ at some TROPICAL color just wakes it back up.

To keep the b.Limey Journey going strong (since I can’t buy yarn EVERYDAY can I can I canI???) I’ve sifted through some of my photographs and have put them in a color Journal of their own. It isn’t much, but it is a simple Hue study of Number 4 Yellow-Green on the Color Wheel, using images I can relate to because I took them. Going back and looking at them in a series is a fun way to try and understand that strong mental realtionship I have with this hue. It has *It* for me – I am drawn to this color over and over again.

Since it is never seen in isolation but as a part of a whole, I can think about what makes it such a powerful creative SPARK in my brain…

Gallery b.Limey, if you please…

You are too funny, Bonne. I LOVED the gallery. Especially the bondage lego chick. Where on earth did you find her? You were missing one of my favorite green guys though – Kermit! Have a super weekend.

I like the limey green too – I gasped when I opened this entry of yours – wow! a book and the yarn. I’m not sure how I got to really like this color and probaly doesn’t look all that good on me. I went ahead and got some lime green kid merino (Crystal Palace) and baby silk from Elann in peridot (not so bright but lime green!).

Oooh can’t wait to see knitting progress w. the Rowan All Seasons Cotton.

  3. Teresa says:

Gallery b. Limey – next stop MOMA!

Glad to see *someone* has gotten their Rowan Magazine! It’s much anticipated here in cold, deary Dayton, oHIo!

  4. Vicki says:

Oh, limey love! The gallery is fab. I’m still waiting for my Rowan mag, too. ; (

  5. Laura says:

Eminem really startled me! Speaking of which…maybe you need that girly green M&M in your gallery. In those commercials where she’s surrounded by all shades of green, there HAS to be some lime!

  6. Jo in ottawa says:

Not my colour at all but great gallery. It is cold here too and although I have some cotton in the stash and ideas for what to do with it, I can’t face knitting summer stuff while it is still cold and snowy. At least the sun is shining (which is so much brighter reflected of the snow).

  7. Tina says:

I also got my Rowan mag this week. A pretty good issue, even sans La Hargreave! Can’t wait to see whatcha gonna do with the lime ASC.

  8. Jen. says:

I loved the “heaven help the working girl” platter…great find!

  9. Heather says:

What a great green gallery! Lovin the lime…I’m not as historically drawn to the colour as you but wow…that just perked my day right up! Thanks!

  10. Daphne says:

Golly, I almost forgot I’m wearing a bright green wrap today (not of my own creation!).

I love the final tank in your slide show–the neck detail is great.

  11. Julia says:

What a great gallery – very inspiring. Can’t wait to see what you do with the ASC.

  12. Michelle says:

Bonne Marie, your gallery is just great. I don’t personally “do” lime green, but I have sort of a similar obsession with all things dark pink….don’t know why but I constantly return to this color. Anyway, thanks for the creative ispiration!!

  13. Penny says:

I love the lime theme. In my opinion, there is only one color as good as lime and that would be Caribe Blue. And put the two together! My local yarn shop buys yarn just for me in the two colorways. Now is that a shop or what??

Have you seen the new bags out for Spring by Vera Bradley. There is a lime microfiber, a caribe blue microfiber and several other variations!

I don’t need em, but I see them following me home someday!
