LOVE the duck tape one. I need to make one of those for mine!
Those cases are funny, but gosh that guy is a scam artist isn’t he? The whole kids next door thing- for crying out loud…
    Thanks for sharing. :-)

  2. Jill says:

Thank you! You made me laugh for the day! I love viewing corny auctions on eBay. It blows my mind how people will actually bid on them. What a HOOT!

  3. claudia says:

The crystal one is just…so….so…. I’m speechless, really.

  4. Teresa says:

I guess there is a sucker born every minute…what really blows my mind is that anyone would actually pay for it. Thanks for the laugh!

  5. Jayme says:

Reminds me of a Duct tape wallet and belt I made in high school. I had a friend who made a skirt too, it isn’t as easy as it looks but still not worth $20.

  6. missbedora says:

Wow, I think I may need to get an IPOD, just so I can get a rhinstone cover! I love it.

  7. Becky says:

Hee! I love your Monday Mirth posts. You never fail to come up with good content. That duct tape cover! All I could think was: I’m so happy those kids got some bids for it :-)

  8. Melisa says:

I noticed that both the Malboro and the Duct tape one had the same story about the kids, so it is almost certainly not true. Probably the only reason anyone is bidding on them, too, since if you really wanted your expensive Ipod to smell like cigarettes, you could make your own in about 5 minutes. If I had one, I’d make a cover from one of those tiny chocolates boxes. It’d smell lots better. :)

  9. Bonne Marie says:

EXACTLY! I’m a wonderin’ why the autioneers think you have to say that it’s created by small children. Why not just EMBRACE your Dweeb-i-tude and say, “Hey, I made this pathetic thing and I think you should buy it, fool!”

  10. cari says:

Suddeny my iPod feels so…so…underdressed. It’s hiding behind a stack of books and refuses to come out until I get it something pretty to wear. Sheesh.
