one down, one to go…
bulb13.jpg
make it stop!!!

Now that the weather is finally warming up in Chicago, people seem to be inversely cheerful!

As in SURLY.

Maybe it’s just leftover annoyance that Baseball’s Opening Day (for 2 teams!) required a DOWN JACKET but maybe that’s just me…

Even on the Bus, people are snarling at each other.

CASE in POINT: two elderly women are boarding the #66 and one is yelling at the other. She is spouting, “Don’t you bump me again. I DON’T PLAY THAT!” The other one starts shaking HER CANE at Lady #1 and tongue lashes her right back.

Everyone has forgotten how to drive! No turn signals. Extreme lane changes and chases. I lost track of how many times I was cut off on the Dan Ryan coming back from an assignment yesterday. What is going on???

To add insult to injury, my eyes are so swollen by my allergies that it looks like two shrimp are perched over my eyeballs until around noon, EVERYDAY!

[But hey, no prob, I can just blame it on the bit** slappin' I just received by the Taxman!]

I’m not sure SPRING is my favorite season after all…

You and me both, sista! I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror when I woke up yesterday, and I’m going to have to sell a kidney to pay the taxes. :P

    Thanks for my morning giggle.

    April is the cruelest month…

    It’s the TAX thing, darlin’
No other way to explain why EVERYBODY would suddenly be flippin’ out.
    Knit on….

Just wait until July when it’s 118 degrees and everyone is REALLY cheerful! I love Gigi–what an adorable name for an adorable top!

At least when we were in college the only result of procrastination in doing our taxes was that we got our refund check late. Now I procrastinate because the amount I owe seems to be more than I earned all year. What’s up with that?!

I lived in Schaumburg (IL) for a time… I thought that way of driving was normal out there! People are CRAZY drivers out there, man!

My boyfriend took Xirtec (sp?) for his allergies and it worked wonders. ^__^

Things are not better here in Toronto (especially since I don’t have Onde). Today as I was walking down the street there was a well dressed very chic and lovely lady on the sidewalk in front of the Adult Entertainment Centre (If you know what I mean) screaming at the top of her lungs “I’m not going to just TAKE THIS!!”. I’ve chosen to believe that she was either having a feminist epiphany, or some kind of breakdown. Not pretty.

can it be that we New Yorkers have an unearned reputation?? old ladies fighting on busses? and in Toronto making scenes in front of “Adult Entertainment” centers?? We are like a Chip & Dale cartoon here – “no, I insist, after you” “oh no, you first” !! :)

I LOVE CHIP & DALE! My grandmother used to buy me Comic Books of them! I actually wanted to live inside of a TREE when I was little just like a chipmunk…
