You ROCK, miss! That’s a very lovely cardi. And I really appreciate the necklines/edging info.

    Have a fab labor day!

  2. Janet says:

As a big cardi lover I’d love to knit this pattern! It’s so cute and the aran weight will make for a quicker to knit sweater. Hope it’ll be available for purchase.

  3. Marlena says:

Wow, wow, WOW! That’s the perfect cardigan. I’ll be first in line to buy it, fur sure!

  4. Theresa says:

Very cool. Maybe I’ll need to use that ASC that I bought for Rogue for something else….

  5. Lauren says:

Wow, the cardie is gorgeous. I also like how you snuck some lime into the picture (plus dancing Christina)!

  6. Linda says:

Thank you Bonnie! Scoop du Jour is the inspiration I needed to reintroduce myself to the neglected knitting machine that as been hidden under my bed for many years. Visual proof
that it is possible to combine machine and hand knitting with wonderful results.

  7. Ann says:

Bonne Marie, that is a SMASHING shape. It’s scoopalicious! I love that it would be equally perfect as you’ve shown it, with a dress shirt, as with a tank top. Good show!

  8. Andrea says:

Hey, cool, I’m having a new threads Friday too!

  9. Kristy says:

Way cute! I love the scoop and how it shows off the lime green shirt underneath. Beautiful work, as always!

  10. Lynette says:

Oh yeah! You rock! It’s gorgeous.

  11. Donna says:

I am a sucker for that chunky ribbing; it”s a beautimous cardi, and please do put me down as another knitter that would be happy to but the pattern ;)

  12. Lacy says:

Hi BonneMarie, Just what knitting machine would you recommend for a handknitter wanting to incorporate a machine once in a while???? Thank you you’re an inspiration!

  13. Silvia says:

Oohh, yummy looking sweater. AND kudos for pairing it with the perfect green blouse!

  14. maggi says:

Omigod! Did I just watch you whip up a sweater in a week? Are you on vacation? Nah, you’re just our amazing knitting goddess. Brava!

  15. Meg says:

That’s madly wicked cute. How terrifically exciting that it’s partly machine knit. Love quick gratification. Inspiring!

  16. Ying says:

CUTE! That was the first words that came to me. Thank you for all those tips & inspirations.

  17. elisabeth says:

I love it!! Colour and design are superb! The Rowan ASC varegated is the best!

  18. Lynne says:

Girl, do you ever sleep? Another great design!

  19. Bonne Marie says:

TEEEheeee – you just tickle my brain! Thanks for all the KIND KIND thoughts!!! I heart you ALL!

This was so much fun to make and I look forward to writing more about the machine/hand knitting stuff in the future. I think a lot of people have Bonds they aren’t using and it would be fun to stir up those JUICES!

I am going to write up this pattern in the next couple of weeks – I wore it alot already and it’s become my new *housedress*…
