Monday Morning Mirth

One of the main ingredients of deadline knitting at Chez Chic is TV.
Lots of TV.
I love reading knitter's tweets about what they're watching while they're stitching! And it seems like, the closer to a deadline, the friskier the video content...
Well, I am no exception.
However, instead of the usual Netflix roundup, I pursed my bind offs (yay - mission accomplished!) via live coverage of the NATO Summit protests in Chicago chased by an evening round with SHERLOCK season 2 episode 3...
It whipped my knitting into a frenzy!
But check out the casualty: apparently this might've been TOO exciting because the top needle is. Bent! And its mate on the opposite side has a dent about halfway up.
Talk about losing my grip on reality...

My needles are always getting bent and my sock needles acquire curves. Pristine needles aren’t all that exciting anyway.
Sherlock is incredible, isn’t it? I watched the first one of season two twice. Looking forward to savoring the other two. Since there’s only three at a time, I sip them slowly, like a fine wine.
So true! So true!
I must’ve been gripping like all get out – don’t remember – but I do know I was knitting 1×1 ribbing very very fast (without looking).
I adore the SHERLOCK series – thought this week’s episode (The Reichenbach Fall) was the best yet.
Benedict Cumberbatch is an awesome actor – when he told Moriartiy “Oh, I may be on the side of the angels, but don’t think for one second that I am one of them” I quivered…
I love Sherlock! I was knitting while watching last night too. Haven’t bent a needle yet though. lol
Check the date on your post, it is actually only May 21!! My sock needles have a permanent “bend” in them…guess I have a death grip too.
I am glad you were home squeezing your needles to death rather than being squeezed in the scrum on Cermak & State or at any of the other venues in our beautiful city. It looked a bit rough out there for the reporters… saw one who was interviewing people using a telephone while being filmed from a distance.
The show should be rated AF-for anger and frustration. Sorry about your casualty.
