    1) Great sweater
    2) I don’t know what it was at 5:51 a.m. at my house, but at 7:30 when I left to go to work, it was -4, and I do not even want to think about what the wind chill was then, because right now, it’s 5 degrees and the wind chill is at -14. Anyone out there without a hat on needs their head examined for sure.
And yes, we like our “sleeping weather” here as well, but when the temperature outside the quilts is 50 degrees, it makes it just a mite difficult to jump out of bed to change out of what is warm into stuff that is not yet warm.

Happy New Year, Bonne Marie! I started watching Rome late in the game and at first was put off by the graphic content but the acting and the historical content really got me hooked. I esp. liked it when (I forget his name) one of the mercenaries is hired to kill Cicero at a time when his buddy is feeling a bit down with family problems and so he presents it as an opportunity to get away with the families and make an outing out of it. Did someone say “Assasination Vacation” Miss Sarah Vowel or what? Slays me everytime I think of it. And the peaches bit with Cicero – priceless. Any knitted Roman artifacts in store for us on the homefront?

I would say that it is NOT the same as B&L as B&L felts VERY easily (ask me how I know!)…lovely colour though so nice and muted!
    Dress warm!

  4. Gina says:

I really love how the yarn changes the “feel” of Beryl. I also wish I’d thought to pin my sleeves whilst going along. I’m really dragging my feet on finishing because I stink at setting in sleeves.

  5. Bonne Marie says:

    Viva Roma!

My set is Season I, so I’m behind as well, but had a hard time not having a marathon watch-fest!

I especially enjoyed the acting/writing, but it wasn’t until I watched the behind the scenes DVD about the construction of the Forum on the lot at Cinecitt

  6. Jennifer says:

Yeah, it’s cold here too. Beryl looks beautiful. Once the hands warm up it is great knitting time.

  7. Carol says:

Wish i had that yarn for my Beryl! If I weren’t so lazy, I’d be warm right now!
