Just what does an already good pair of boots need this Fall?

Colored tights; textured tights; yes, even black tights.

When it came time to shoot the new Beryl sweater pictures for the pattern, it only seemed natural to find some color to go down the runway with it! The dramatic blue of the sweater (called *Blue Velvet* by the yarn co.) seemed to want a little fun of its own…

In front you see the first thing I found: a pair of turquoise leggings. Now, I’m not really on the leggings bandwagon but I felt with a little cropping they might work.

I’d already visited WOLFORD & WeLoveColor and had been inflamed with the possibilities of leg-to-go but I had to find something in town, that very afternoon.

The leggings were from Express on Mich Ave. Then I wandered up to Bloomingdale’s and even though they had a wall of Wolford, they did not have any colors

Your model is beautiful and the tights are great, but…

  4. Jennifer says:

I love all the tights! One of the reasons I love the colder weather is the tights. That sweater looks like a lot of fun.

  5. Karen B. says:

I LOVE those boots! Where, oh where, my dear?

  6. rachel says:

  7. Emily says:

Love those! I just bought the October Issue of Real Simple that has an article on the best tights. Now if only that magazine could really make my life *simple*…..

Great. Now I’ll be singing “Blue Velvet” all day (which is fine, my Dad sung it all the time when I was growing up)! I love those boots btw, they are amazing. I like you colour choices – bright and bold.

  11. Wanda says:

I love the boots! Absolutely adore them!

  12. Bonne Marie says:

    AH. The boots…

These were the result of a kamikaze raid on a Nordstrom’s shoe deptartment a couple of years ago: fastest $$$ I’ve ever spent in my LIFE!

They are by Ralph Lauren and have little perferations in the toe area. Reminded me of wing tips. Gone girl. Gone B.A.D.

  13. Jennifer says:

    Those are awesome boots!

  14. Toby Wollin says:

A perfect coming together of shazaam color and woohoo boots.(bows down low)
Sometimes, only pure unadulterated “process” color is the answer – bright blue, national schoolbus chrome yellow, stop sign red. Enough with the “oh, me..I’m just wearing these little tights in charcoal” things. Desperate times require desperate colors.
    Long live yellow tights!!
    Oh, yeah..and the boots. Sigh.

  15. Norma says:

THAT is hot and sizzly! I love it!

  16. Sil says:

    Oooh, very hot!

  17. Geri says:

    LOVE those boots!

  18. Marlena says:

Like the tights, LOVE the boots!

  19. Carol says:

And spectacular!!! I LOVE those boots!
