let the yum begin

Not too many weeks ago, the Song of the Fiber Sirens called me up to Wisconsin for a little road trip. WHO would not enjoy a morning out in the *country* petting the *sheep*.

The lovely sock yarn you see above was the result of a visit with the lovely Catherine of Knitting Notions

    I miss the MI Fiber Fest. I miss any fiber fest. I’m going to the one in Santa Monica tomorrow but it’s not the same. It’s slightly smaller. Have a wonderful time and shop for me!

    Woot! I’m planning to be there, God willing! I’m so excited I can hardly stand it!! It’ll only be my third fiber fair ever – heard it’s a good one. Aaaaeeeeeeee! I’ll be the tall one in ChicKnits designs :o).

  3. Theresa says:

    John and I and the small person will be there, too! Hopefully we’ll see you!

    Catherine of Knitting Notions also had a sample of Ariann that I couldn’t stop looking at and must make – I just need to find the nerve and time to put the zipper in my Ribby first. When we talked at Fiber & Folk, you mentioned a zipper clinic you were going to teach. Will it be at Arcadia?

    PS – Crystal Lake is still in Illinois, though I know it felt like you were driving forever!

    Was there in 2005, I bought yarn and so loved the venue. It was small and intimate, just loved it. My Michigan friend is on her way here to Sunny but cooler California for a visit. Yarn shopping will be happening where ever we get a chance. Have fun at the Fiber Fest! It is one of the nicest fests I’ve been to.

    Those are some gorgeous yarns!

    Have fun! Please share photos so we can live vicariously :-)

    Have a great trip! And how great that among the many great people you’ll see will (hopefully) be Theresa & Co.!

  9. Your bus trip should be great. I took a bus to the local Lavender Festival and two fiber/yarn stores with the Seattle Knitting Guild this summer. Enjoyed every minute of it.

    Thanks for the shout out about the festival. The weather is just unbelievable here! Of course I’m a southerner and we have been having the hottest temps in years in Nashville, so I’m down right cold in Michigan. Not that I’m complaining mind you. I look forward to seeing you! Mwwwah!

    You were probably arriving just as I was leaving. Looking forward to comparing notes!
