  Monday Morning Mirth

I am not much of a video gamer (M.M.O.’s anyone?), but recently read a most intriguing article in the NYTimes about The Gold Farmers of the World of Warcraft.

This slideshow, which accompanied the article, fascinated me — remember, these people could create a character that looked like anything they would desire…

    Isn’t Ravelry great?
Everything a knit gurl could want all in one place!

LOLZ, we hate gold farmers in-game. They are really annoying. Especially if you get one in your party when you are trying to clear a dungeon. Pfft…ninjas.

I used to see those guys on Star Wars galaxies, it would always be like 10 guys all together in a gang, dressed in newbie clothing and ridding bikes grouped together running missions. That was nealry 3 years ago. I personally have purchsed “gold” off ebay before, just once for Second Life which supports that sort of system and I’m not sure second life has that problem because you can’t get money form missions.

I wish I could watch you play! I wondered if it would be obvious that there was *farming* going on?

The idea of a gathering factory is such a weird idea my mind is bending in strange ways.

BUT I want to see your Avatar!
