BTW: Wondering why this site has been roller-coasting its way around the last couple of days? My brilliant server company decided to migrate two servers worth of accounts to another server yesterday. They didn’t tell anyone and suddenly POOF! My site disappeared only to be replaced by a bogus Suspension Page. They said that was the only kind of temp page they had so they slapped it up there. NICE. :(

Because command of the language by the support group is about nil, they didn’t understand how implying my site disappeared due to my being a dead beat and not because of their negligence could be troublesome…

Anybody have any suggestions for a Good server company for me?

Holy Sunshine! Dang, now those are some socks. Hmmm, I’d watch yourself around the taxis, you may elicit some cat calls from some very jealous drivers. Enjoy your stroll in the sun.

How odd! I got moved the other day without warning as well. Maybe we have the same hosting company? However, there was no warning with mine, my site just went *poof*. Then again, I only have about 8 regular readers, so it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Love LOVE the yellow socks. I’ve not seen sock yarn around here with that much yellow. VERY Spring-ish!

Wendy (wendyknits.net) seems to have done a lot of research of hosting. I’m sure she’d be willing to share her insight….

I totally don’t understand, so I wiped her comments out of mymemoery, but I know she wrote about it in thelast year or so….

    good luck!

Glad to hear (to paraphrase Mark Twain) that reports of your death have been greatly exagerrated. No one has good hosting/server tales, which is a comment on that business, I think.

how about bluehost.com? or is that the server you use right now?
i use these guys and they are very nice and helpful. let us know what you end up doing.
    :o)ek.

I’ve had a great experience with ICDSoft. Excellent support (and fast!), never had a bad moment with them. Blue Blog Alison recommended them to me years ago, though I believe she has since switched. Anyway, they’ve been excellent.
