In like a Lion, the air in the Big Windy is infused with snow and ice and sound. It swallows up the day and rustles through my chimney.

Never was there a better day to knit.

The Trade. The Best.

Corinne made me promise to cast on right away and I found the a little pattern stitch to tweak. Both of us, with the original sock yarn, had cast on and knit just one sock. Then they lanquished for almost 3 years in their onsie lonliness! So we ripped and traded.

This Moss Agate colourway is gorgeous – I’m hoping my stitch experiment brings out the best in this handpaint – but even just holding the yarn in my fingers might be enough.

Lime. Blood Orange. Chartruese. Mulberry.

Who needs the Sun?

What’s really made the Circle close is that I just got the mail and there was a brochure for the Stephenson County Fiber Fest in the batch…

The Moss Agate colors are much better for you, too!

Corrine is a doll… and the red colorway is better for her, too.

There you go again! Giving me thoughts of stash-diving for yet another project with those lush colors. Luv ya, BFE!

  3. Tracey says:

LOL, maybe you and Corinne should make a vow to speak openly about your stash-grabbing envy if you decide to go together. This way, there won’t be a whole year of languish.

  4. Teresa says:

You have the blowing, icy day off from work?
    That’s just the BEST!

  5. Carol says:

    Gorgeous color!

  6. Beth S. says:

Oh, I get it now! The Garnet Dream is what you had. The Moss Agate is what you traded it for!

They’re both great colorways… but the Moss Agate wins, hands down. I hope they revive that colorway soon, because I want some! :-)

And here I was, silly me, thinking that yesterday’s skein was a beauty. This one, well. Jaw dropped. Breath taken. Even your description of the colors gave me the shivers. I think it was the Blood Orange. Great skein and a wonderful photograph. I really admire it, because I was trying to capture my own skein of Fire on the Mountain and I don’t think I did it justice. You really got those rich colors. Delectable!

  8. Angela says:

Oooooh…I get it now. That colorway is worthy of holding a grudge!!!

  9. Tricia says:

WOW – I loved the Garnet dream yesterday and thought you were crazy, but the Moss Agate….oohlala – it’s a keeper!!

Just wanted to thank you for the great CeCe pattern. We emailed back and forth one Sunday morning (thank you again) because I was having gauge problems. I frogged and put it aside until after the holidays and just finished my sweater in Classic Elite,s Mistral, a rusty red alpaca/cotton from the stash. It fits like a dream and I just love the sweater. I made the 3/4 sleeved version and am going to cast on again in something bright and summery with the short sleeves. I even survived the double points, though will probably either use 2 circulars this time or knit them flat. The only thing I’m not happy with is the seam at the back neck, wish I hadn’t bound it off but just seamed the live stitches. THANK YOU AGAIN…I LOVE IT!!!
